Why are so many women getting punched in the face on the streets of New York City?
That’s a question everyone has. Even the corporate media is talking about it, even though they usually tend to ignore violent crimes. But when outraged feminism collides with new social justice trends like bail reform and homelessness advocacy, liberal brains melt. They have to admit that it’s happening, but as the Oppression Olympics continue, all kinds of ridiculous justifications come up to explain why. Of course, the only stone that remains unturned is the truth.
At least seven women have come forward in recent weeks to say they were assaulted in New York City, often taking to TikTok to explain how they were feeling when they were unexpectedly punched in the head.
Social media influencer Harry Kate went viral after detailing her harrowing experience in a TikTok post that has now been viewed over 50 million times.
“You guys,” she claimed in the video. “I was literally just walking and a guy came up to me and punched me in the face. Oh my god, it hurts so much. I can’t even talk.”

probably many more Some of these attacks occur but are not reported. Reality star and business mogul Bethenny Frankel comes forward after Kate’s video leaks, saying she was “punched in the face” by a “homeless man” but was initially too “embarrassed” to admit it He spoke about his own experience.Liberal TODAY show host Savannah Guthrie also Admitted Her “very good friend” was “punched in the face in broad daylight about 15 months ago” in New York. (Related: Someone keeps punching young women in the face in New York, but the city’s Democratic leadership isn’t doing anything about it)
This is nothing new or unusual, but thanks to viral videos, the media can no longer ignore it. Everyone agrees that this phenomenon is clearly a sign of an unhealthy society. But liberal-minded people can interpret this in one of two ways. Both are wrong.
On the other hand, the leftists have called these attacks I imagined “rape culture#MeToo on college campuses and Hollywood cri de coeur. This is an inevitable result of a so-called patriarchal society, where men are taught that women are objects to be exploited rather than worthy of respect. Look at the ridiculous reporting from left-wing outlet salons.

according to Salon columnist Amanda Marcotte said such attacks are “an extreme manifestation of how men feel entitled to women’s time and attention.” She said Marcotte said the victims were just “living their lives” and “that infuriated the perpetrators.” Supporters of patriarchy do not believe that women have the right to live independently. They resent that men are losing their power in modern times, and that this powerlessness causes them to lash out. Part Freud, part radical feminism — she ties it all to “the rise of MAGA.” (Related article: Liberal writer says it’s somehow Trump’s fault that men punch women in the face in New York City)
Another option is to contextualize everything.Potential spread in New York City homelessness problem Don’t worry if some bail reform laws are overly lenient. Most of your fears are only in your head.
guardian Young women reported that they were “more likely to be attacked by someone they know than by a stranger.” The outlet spoke to experts to support the idea that New Yorkers’ fears about these assaults are not based in reality.
“Anecdotes provide little evidence other than that perhaps one terrible thing happened to an innocent person,” said psychology professor Chris Ferguson.
“These attacks are an outlier,” said Elizabeth Mosley, a professor of medicine who studies “gender-based violence.”
“This kind of stranger violence feels like the rape myth, where the boogeyman jumps out and attacks you. It’s a very frightening pattern, and survivors have to deal with the physical and psychological effects of it. “No, but this is a unique situation,” she continued.
The New York Times found these two views colliding, leading to confusion. The Times took the contextualizing route and suggested that: Instagram post Social media sensationalism may be “fueling fears” about street crime in the city, it said.
But dozens of angry feminist-leaning liberals fired back in the comments.
“This entire caption needs to be rewritten. ‘Men are violently attacking women in New York,'” one commenter wrote.
Another wrote: They are spreading awareness, so they should write about it. ”
“Why don’t you call it what it is?” [is]; Violent misogynistic attack on women,” a third person replied: according to New York Post.
In reality, both camps are equally deceived. This is not about misogyny, at least not in the way left-wing feminists imagine it. It’s not just your run-of-the-mill street crime either. The whole debate obscures the real issue and moves blame away from where the problem actually lies.
In reality, these attacks are opportunistic, carried out by sick men against relatively easy targets in a near-anarchic situation deliberately carried out by New York City’s leaders. As The Daily Caller reported, these attacks are considered misdemeanor assaults in New York, which are often non-bailable crimes. Without cracking down on street crime and homelessness, there is little we can do to prevent or deter these crimes from occurring in the first place. The alleged perpetrators are released and are free to start over. But progressive ideologies believe this is a necessary corrective to a brutal and oppressive criminal justice system. To accept that this is an inevitable outcome is to condemn the entire project. Liberal progressives are forced to respond somehow.
It may be ideological blindness. It may be pure political maneuvering to deflect blame from policy preferences. Either way, it means more young women will continue to be needlessly harmed in New York City until liberals acknowledge that reducing crime actually leads to more crime.
