“I’m a faithful man. I believe in the Creator. I believe in Jesus. I think at the end of the day, that’s what most characterizes me,” he told reporters. “I feel like I’ve been given a platform to compete and show my talent. It’s not like I did anything. A few years ago, I was sitting here doing an interview after the 2022 Masters. I think I did, but it was just like, ‘Yes, I was underprepared for what was about to happen. I didn’t know what was going to happen. I did not know. I was very anxious that morning. I didn’t know what was going to happen.
“It’s hard to explain this feeling, but I think that’s what defines me the most. That’s my faith. I believe in the Creator. I came out here and hope for the best. I believe I’m called to do my best, to compete, to bring glory to God, and that’s it.” That’s pretty much it. ”
