If you do a self alley-oop, make sure no one is around.
Torrey Craig of the Chicago Bulls missed that memo, which may have led to a much worse collision than it actually was.
The Bulls hosted the New York Knicks on Tuesday night for the second time in nine days, and trailed 36-27 early in the second quarter.

The Knicks’ Bojan Bogdanovic passed the ball to Andre Drummond, who passed it to Craig, giving the Bulls a 3-0 breakaway that should have been a 100 percent score.
Well, apparently it’s 99.99%.
Craig, Drummond and Coby White were all running toward the bucket with no one in front of them when Craig threw the ball off the glass. Drummond was following just a few feet behind.
At the end of the arc, Craig lobbed the ball with his left hand and jumped from a height of 2 feet, hoping to give himself a highlight-reel dunk.
But Drummond thought the lob off the glass was aimed at him.
So Drummond’s big man tried to slam it home as well. The two collided in the air, causing Craig to fall to the court and the ball bouncing off the rim. This was recorded as Craig’s missed field goal. Bogdanovic then grabbed the rebound.
To make matters worse, Drummond twisted his ankle late in the contest and had to leave the game in a wheelchair.

The Knicks never relinquished the lead en route to a 128-117 victory over the Bulls, who have struggled all year. And head coach Billy Donovan wasn’t happy.
“That’s not what I’m supposed to do, and that’s not what the team is supposed to do,” Donovan said of what appeared to be Craig’s showboating.
