As summer approaches, more details will be revealed about EA Sports’ new video game College Football 25. At the moment, it looks like the game will be released during the month of July, with some reports saying it will be released on July 19th. However, everything could change in the next few weeks. Well, despite release date cues, we’re continually getting more information about the game as time goes on, and the latest development we’ve reached includes a transfer portal .
When it comes to this feature being in-game, many have asked how it will actually work, considering the reality portal is wilder than Young Thug’s accusations. As everyone knows, players change schools all the time, and some change from year to year. We’ve already seen it many times in the baby stage of name, image and likeness (NIL). So how exactly does this work in “College Football 25”? (Related: Wait, what? Northwestern is now playing its home football games at… its practice facility?)
According to Brown, EA Sports is already exploring that and wants something with a good balance of entertainment and realistic nature. HeartlandCollegeSports.com.
We’re not 100% sure what that means exactly, but it seems like EA Sports wants to preserve the elements of the old game that could grow a small school into a national powerhouse. It’s a little harder to do that when all of your athletes transfer to Power Four schools every year and require regular roster rebuilds.
We’ll have to wait for all the details, but hey, let’s just be glad we have a transfer portal…it’s really great!
