Maxine Waters urged radicals to harass lawmakers in public. Turns out, she’s not keen when they come for her.

Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters of California publicly encouraged radicals to mob her political opponents in 2018. Since then, the 85-year-old leftist has apparently decided that his tactics are not only unacceptable, but probably racist as well, having had a taste of his own medicine.

Waters, who is currently campaigning for an 18th term in Congress, fantasized about becoming the face of the “resistance” during the Trump era. She leaned into her role during a toy drive in June 2018, shouting “History will be written” to the crowd outside the Wilshire Federal Building in Los Angeles. [Trump] He tried to step on all of us, so we kicked his butt and stomped on him. ”

“If you think we’re coming together now, you haven’t seen anything yet!”
Added Waters.

“We already have ministers being booed from restaurants… There are people who have protesters occupying their homes and saying, ‘No peace, no sleep! No peace, no sleep!'” continued.

Waters was referring to a recent incident in which a group of Democratic Socialists assaulted then-Secretary of Homeland Security Kirsten Nielsen as she tried to eat at a Mexican restaurant. Demonstrators mocked Nielsen for her efforts to secure the border and protect U.S. sovereignty, chanting, “Kirsten Nielsen, you’re the villain who locks up migrant children.”

Mr. Waters clearly endorses this tactic, telling crowds at charity events: “Be present where you’re supposed to be. If you see a member of the Cabinet at a restaurant, a department store, a gas station, you should go outside.” We will create a crowd, push them back, and tell them that they are no longer welcome anywhere.”

A video excerpt of an undated interview with Mr. Waters recently went viral, in which Mr. Waters implied that he would not tolerate this type of harassment even if he had his way.

Waters complained of instances where someone had a confrontation at a restaurant. Democrats appear to have interpreted this criticism as a sure sign of “racist attitudes.”

“They’re not saying anything racist, but they’re saying they don’t like what I’m saying. They don’t like where I stand.”

Waters added, “But you know, if you weren’t black, you wouldn’t have been approached that way.”

Numerous commentators mocked Waters’ remarks online, many citing her apparent incitement to violence, but it was not limited to the Democrat’s 2018 remarks.

During former police officer Derek Chauvin’s murder trial, Waters gave marching orders to potential rioters in case Chauvin was not found guilty in George Floyd’s death.

“Well, we have to stay on the streets,” the Democrat said. “And we have to be more aggressive. We have to be more confrontational. We have to make them understand that we mean business.”
