Michael Strahan’s daughter Isabella has experienced another setback during her brain tumor process.
The 19-year-old model revealed on Friday that her second round of chemotherapy was delayed by a month due to an unexpected third craniotomy.
“It’s not as bad as the first time, but it really hurts. They give me painkillers, but they don’t do much for me. That’s why I hurt so much,” Isabella said of the treatment she received after having a fever. He said this in his latest YouTube video blog.
She continued, crying. “My head really hurts right now. I’m not gonna lie, I cried a lot. It hurts a lot. It’s not as bad as last time…my face isn’t as swollen, but it literally hurts to do everything.”
The University of Southern California student previously revealed that she has to be hospitalized every time she has a fever due to a malignant brain tumor. Isabella and Michael revealed her diagnosis to the world on “Good Morning America” in January.
Isabella said Friday that her recent hospital visit began with an intravenous antibiotic, and then doctors inserted needles in three different places in her head to drain excess fluid while she was awake for an MRI scan. It was determined that some minor action was required.
“It’s been up and down because a week ago I was eating a lot and now I can’t eat anything,” she said of her mental health. “I’m depressed right now.”
Isabella said she spent a week in the hospital after the surgery, but was readmitted because she felt short of breath.
“I was out that night. Don’t worry,” she said, adding that she felt “self-conscious” about losing her eyebrows and eyelashes.
Isabella picked her up Last month, I had my first round of chemotherapy. After spending “three or four days” in the hospital, he had to return 12 hours after being discharged due to a fever.
She claimed in a YouTube vlog that she “could barely walk” at the time.
