Joe Burrow says he’s ‘pro-taunting’: ‘I’m not gonna get my feelings hurt’

There’s a good reason the NFL was nicknamed the “No Fun League.”

Until recently, team celebrations were rarely, if ever, allowed.

The rules are more lenient for players celebrating touchdowns.

However, “taunting” still carries a 15-yard penalty.

By definition, a provocation is “a statement made to offend, hurt, or provoke someone.” In the NFL, it’s often used to celebrate plays, but usually to brag to opponents.

The rules say it should be flagged, but Joe Burrow wants to change it.

“Yeah, I’m provoking,” Barrow said earlier this week. “We’re all adults who take our jobs seriously, and sometimes we just want to show it. If someone fires me or makes fun of me like it’s your play… “Well, I don’t mean to hurt any feelings. I understand.” Yeah, great. ”

The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback originally made his stance public during the playoffs, posting “Let y’all be provoking” to X after Zai Flowers committed the decisive penalty in the AFC Championship. .
