On Saturday night, umpires ejected Ole Miss baseball coach Mike Bianco after an opposing batter hit a game-winning home run in the 12th inning.
After Mississippi State catcher Johnny Long celebrated an overtime home run a little too generously, Bianco appeared to flip out, staring at the ball from outside the box before throwing the bat with an artistic flare. .
Hot mic audio captured Bianco confronting referee Scott Klein in protest of Long’s antics.
“He hit the bat 25 feet! You should kick him out!” Bianco yelled at Klein.
“And we warned him,” Klein responded. “We should get rid of him!” Bianco repeated angrily.

After hearing the story thoroughly, Klein emphatically removed Bianco from the game. Bianco, instead of having Long thrown away, earned himself a red card. (Related article: College baseball star player sent off for outrageous reasons (LOL when hot dogs are involved))
But Ole Miss would have the last laugh, getting through with a walk in the bottom of the 12th inning and winning the game 10-9.

I have to hand it over to Bianco here. No one can say he didn’t step up to bat for his guys. Maybe his outburst was the fire they needed to turn around and win. I’m sure we all had a good laugh afterwards.
