This isn’t the first time the couple has been transparent about their fertility challenges. In October 2021, before the birth of their youngest son, the couple revealed that they had suffered a miscarriage shortly after breaking the news to their two older sons.
“It was fun to see the joy on their faces when we shared the news,” they previously wrote on their blog. “When we talked about the pregnancy and how we would be involved during the pregnancy and after the birth, they were full of questions and very excited. But a few days later, the miscarriage started.”

“It helped us process and unpack our emotions,” Duggar previously told FOX News Digital about writing the memoir. “It was a cathartic process…This wasn’t just an isolated experience of reality shows or extended families…People could relate to it and say, ‘I felt the same thing. I felt the loneliness that comes from control.’ I hope you say that.”
