Many messy divorces among Hollywood’s elite have played out publicly with no sign of reconciliation in sight. In other cases, celebrities continued to support each other even after their relationships ended.

Bruce Willis and Demi Moore are an iconic couple of supportive ex-spouses who spend time with their children and their respective spouses.

Other Hollywood couples have taken similar approaches to divorce. Here are some famous couples who have maintained friendly relations even after divorce.

1. Bruce Willis and Demi Moore

Willis and Moore remained close after their divorce.

Willis and Moore married in 1987. While they were a couple, they had three daughters: Rumer, Scout, and Talulah. The two finalized their divorce in 2000.

After their divorce, they both continued to date other partners. Willis married Emma Hemming Willis in 2009 and they have two more children, Mabel and Evelyn. Moore married Ashton Kutcher in 2005, but the two divorced in 2013.

“We have three children and will continue to raise them together. We are probably closer now than ever.” Starr told Rolling Stone in 2000: “We recognize that we have a lifelong commitment to our children. Our friendship continues. The institution has been set aside.”

2. Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin

Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, the couple who popularized the term “conscious uncoupling,” are both parents and good friends.

The two married in 2003 and announced their divorce in 2014. During that time, two children were born, Apple and Moses.

“I think Chris and I were supposed to be together and have a child,” Paltrow told People in 2019. “But we’re friends, we’re co-parents, we’re family, and our relationship is so much better this way. “It was,” he said.

Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt’s breakup was initially rocky, but it appears that their relationship has healed over time.

Aniston and Pitt divorced in 2005 after five years of marriage.

“Jen and I still maintain a deep friendship and have spent so much of our lives together that will never go away,” Pitt said in a 2007 interview with V magazine. “I don’t know how I should have handled it. Barrymore also appears to maintain a friendly relationship with ex-husband Tom Green, with whom she was together from 2001 to 2002. The two reunited on her show in September 2020.

5. Lisa Bonet and Lenny Kravitz

Lisa Bonet and Lenny Kravitz remained friends even after their divorce. The two divorced in 1993 after six years of marriage. During that time, they welcomed a daughter, Zoe Kravitz.

Bonet remarried years after divorcing Jason Momoa in 2017, but the two divorced in 2022. Kravitz had nothing but positive things to say about Momoa and Bonet during their time together.

“We’re like brother and sister. After Lisa and I broke up, we learned to find a new relationship,” Kravitz told People in February 2019. And I love their children, and we are all one big family, which is beautiful. ”

Kravitz told Men’s Health in November 2020, “I don’t know how close Jason and I are, or how close Zoe’s mother and I are still, and how our relationship is. People can’t believe it. 6. Chris Pratt and Anna Faris

Chris Pratt and Anna Faris were married for eight years before splitting in August 2017. They are good friends and co-parents of son Jack.

“They have a great relationship,” Faris told Marie Claire in May 2018. It seems like their relationship is only going from strength to strength.

Their relationship ultimately ended in divorce, which was finalized in 2013. The pair continued to appear in multiple Scream movies after their breakup, and have repeatedly referred to each other as “best friends.”
