It’s disgusting to stop Trump from attending Barron’s graduation for a partisan sham trial that shames America

There are many reasons to criticize Donald Trump.

He is a deliberately polarizing public figure who loves to argue, delights in viciously taunting his opponents, and exhibits an often brutally uncompromising style that brings many to the brink of stroke.

But one thing you can’t say about Trump is that he’s a bad father.

I was by his side many times when he was with his five children (Don Jr., Eric, Ivanka, Tiffany, and Barron). He is a proud and loving father, and that feeling is reflected in each of his children.

As any parent knows, you can’t fake such a relationship with your children and it takes a lot of effort to achieve mutual respect and true love.

So when the judge in Mr. Trump’s unprecedented criminal trial suggested yesterday that he could be jailed if he attempts to miss even a single day in court, how he and his youngest son, now 18, I can only imagine how it must have felt. It was held on May 17th at the Barons Graduation Ceremony at Oxbridge Academy in Palm Beach.

Last year I attended my youngest son’s graduation from university in England and it was one of the best days of both of our lives. A joyful celebration of his years of hard work was enjoyed by his closest friends and his entire family.

And if anyone deserves a day like that, it’s definitely Baron. He had to grow up in the whirlwind of his father’s controversial political career, and his presidential career.

Being the son of one of the world’s most talked about and divisive figures of the 21st century must have been very difficult for him.

But none of that seems to have done much to appease Judge Juan Melchán, who is overseeing the trial and warned President Trump yesterday that he could be thrown into solitary confinement if he tries to skip court. did.

Marchan has not yet denied Trump’s request to attend the graduation ceremony, but “it really depends on how we do in time and where we stand in court.” said.

Is that so, Judge?

Isn’t this due to the basic human nature of fathers and children?

President Trump said this outside the courtroom. “It looks like the judge won’t let me go to my son’s graduation, who has studied very hard. He’s a great student, he’s done very well, he’s continued to move forward, and I appreciate the fact that I’m proud of him.” He spent many years with his mother and father before graduating. ”

This small but deeply personally meaningful moment on the first day of this trial yesterday pretty much sums up the entire immoral farce.

In the history of American presidents, has there ever been a more cheap, humiliating, and completely pointless attempt to humiliate and disgrace one of only 46 men to become president of the United States? ?

This whole Stormy Daniels story is so pathetic.

Honestly, who cares if President Trump had a one-night stand with a porn star 18 years ago?

As Stormy told me in an interview last year, if it did happen, it was a completely consensual incident between two adults who knew exactly what they were doing. It turns out that it was an affair — something President Trump denies.

And Trump wasn’t a politician at the time, but a billionaire real estate mogul and TV star.

You can morally object to that if you want to, but the idea that it led to a criminal trial that would have sentenced President Trump to up to 10 years in prison is ridiculous.

Manhattan prosecutor Alvin L. Bragg has filed a 34-count indictment accusing Trump of falsifying business records to hide hush money payments to buy Stormy’s silence before the 2016 election. It is clear that they are motivated by political malice.

Even if that’s exactly what President Trump did, it’s no secret that America’s rich and famous are constantly signing off against harmful stories, true or false, that get out about them. It would be no different than a similar transaction.

And there is so much hypocrisy in the way Democrats tried to destroy Trump over sexual assault allegations.

Bill Clinton paid $850,000 to settle a lawsuit with Paula Jones, who accused her of having sex with an intern in the Oval Office while he was the sitting president and of harassing and assaulting her while he was governor of Arkansas. Paid $.

Both of these things seem to me to be much more serious than what Trump did to Stormy Daniels at the Beverly Hills hotel.

However, I have no recollection of Clinton enduring a criminal trial.

But when I attended my daughter Chelsea’s Sidwell Friends High School graduation in 1997, I hugged her after she got off the stage after receiving her diploma, and then I gave an emotional speech to all the students. I remember him speaking about his great pride in his speech.

It is outrageous that Donald Trump and Barron Trump should be deprived of the same shared experience.

If the moment comes next month when Judge Marchand bans him from attending, Trump should ignore him and attend the graduation ceremony.

If Mr. Marchan tries to jail him for doing what any loving father in America would have done in the same situation, Mr. Trump would win the election by a landslide.
