
Biggest harvest on day 1: It must be difficult to choose the judges. Roughly half of the 96 potential jurors were dismissed Monday for being unable to remain impartial. It’s understandable that it’s difficult because everyone in the world already has an opinion about Trump. Twelve jurors and six alternates are required.
The most popular headlines on the first day: New York Times Maggie Haberman Noticed Trump may have fallen asleep during Monday’s proceedings. “His head keeps dropping and his mouth is slack,” Haberman posted. Then, she said, he “woke up shaking.” Read her observations
↑Ah, I should have seen this: A pool reporter noticed that Trump glared at Haberman as he was leaving after Haberman reported Haberman had fallen asleep. Haberman noticed that, too, and she said on CNN that it was a “pretty specific look” at her. 👀
