Bill Maher may not share the same views as pro-life conservatives, but he certainly has no problem telling the truth in a way they can agree with.
On a recent episode of “Real Time with Bill Maher,” Maher did exactly the same thing about abortion.
“I don’t think anyone believes this is murder. That’s why I don’t understand 15 weeks or President Trump’s plan to ‘leave it to the states,'” Maher said, adding, “I mean… Does that mean infanticide is OK in some states?”
“I can respect the absolutist position, and I really do. When leftists say, “Oh, you know what?” I scold them. They just hate women, people who don’t support choice,” he continued. “They don’t hate women. They just made it up. They think it’s murder, but it actually is.”
“I’m okay with that, because there’s 8 billion people in the world. I’m sorry, but we’re not going to let you go. That’s my position,” he said, as the panel and crowd erupted into uncomfortable silence. he added as we sat inside.
“Everyone is surprised,” Sara Gonzalez said, pointing out that she was right.
“If you’re saying you’re pro-choice, you’re saying you’re pro-murder. That’s exactly the same thing. Thank you, thank you for acknowledging that.” she says.
Mitch Little, a Republican candidate for the Texas House of Representatives, agrees.
“If we accept that abortion is murder, can we also accept that sex change is aggravated assault? Because they’re both issues of the sanctity of life,” Little says.
