During an appearance Wednesday on Fox Business Network’s “Morning with Maria,” Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.), chairman of the House Oversight Committee, said that President Joe Biden and his administration have expressed frustration at trying to get answers about wrongdoing and President Biden’s relationship with President Biden. His associates were selling access to foreign adversaries.
The Kentucky Republican said criminal charges and impeachment were possible for Congress.
“We conducted this investigation on the book, citing all of the concerns of wrongdoing against the Bidens, using hard evidence including bank statements, emails, text messages, and sworn testimony.” said. . “We dotted all the I’s and crossed all the T’s, so we wanted to give the president an opportunity to testify. Even if he didn’t want to testify, Maria, we would We tried to make it even easier.”
“We sent him a list of questions to answer, such as: Has he ever met the person who sent millions of dollars to his family?” Comer continued. “In fact, did he know what his family was doing to receive millions of dollars from enemies around the world? We need him to go to Congress and set the record straight. , we have given them multiple opportunities to smear Biden’s name, but they continue to refuse. They continue to hide behind the media. There are several more documents that we have subpoenaed. It’s expected to arrive later this week, and I think we’ll start to see this end soon after that.”
“So, when you wrap up, does that mean you’re sending out a detective introduction?” host Maria Bartiromo asked.
Comer responded, “There is a criminal referral and impeachment is still on the table.” “Mr. and Mrs. Biden, I think it’s clear that Joe Biden has committed an impeachable crime. Americans, whether they’re the vice president or the president, have access to China, Russia, Ukraine, and other adversaries around the world. I don’t think we’re condoning an American president who sells things.”
“And I think the American people want some accountability here,” he added. “And I certainly think so. It’s been proven that they were advertising that they were influenced. It’s time to hold people accountable for their wrongdoings.”
