Marjorie Taylor Greene filed a motion to remove House Speaker Mike Johnson last month, and Thomas Massey has now joined her in seeking to oust him.
When Mr Massey was asked by reporters whether he wanted Mr Johnson to resign, he replied resoundingly: “Yes.”
“Yes, yes, I asked him to resign,” Massey responded, adding that “the motion will be called” and “he will lose more votes than Kevin McCarthy.”
Prime Minister Boris Johnson responded by calling the withdrawal motion “ridiculous” and “not helpful to the country”.
Sara Gonzalez wants to see her expelled.
“Is it helpful that Speaker Johnson has decided to bring four foreign aid and national security bills to the floor that provide funding for Ukraine, Israel, and the Indo-Pacific and do not include border security measures? ” asks Gonzalez.
Eric July completely agreed, pointing out that “if you’re on the opposite side of Massey on something, you’re on the wrong side.”
Mr. July believes that representatives like Massey, Rand Paul, and Ron Paul have historically supported the true interests of the American people, but there are still no speakers who represent the American people in the same way. Not yet.
“There are times when you vote for a new chairman, and then you get milquetoast people who are supposed to represent the party. I just don’t understand that,” July says.
