Details Emerge in Carl Pavano’s Divorce Drama
New, unsettling claims have surfaced in the divorce saga of former Yankees pitcher Carl Pavano and his ex-wife, Alyssa. Allegations include instances of him urinating into her shampoo bottle and, quite shockingly, “deliberately soiling the bed” where she slept.
Alyssa Pavano is appealing to the Connecticut Court of Appeals to overturn a prenuptial agreement they signed in Florida, arguing that she was pressured into it under threats of separation. A court briefing revealed last week that shortly after the divorce was filed in 2024, Pavano sent a message to a group chat that included Alyssa and her children, featuring “multiple firearms on the kitchen table” and the caption, “Hold the fort.”
Alyssa, an Instagram influencer with more than 20,000 followers, contends that Pavano not only urinated in a shampoo bottle in his bathroom but also made the bed unsanitary while she was parenting by allowing her female partner to use it. Additionally, Pavano is accused of removing all clean linens from their home to deny her a hygienic sleeping arrangement during her parenting times.
Previous reports suggested that Pavano “stuffed drugs” into Alyssa’s belongings in an attempt to gain custody of their three children, installed hidden cameras in her bedroom, and repeatedly demeaned her with harsh insults.
According to CT Insider, police have been called to their shared residence nine times since 2024, highlighting ongoing tensions between the couple.
Alyssa alleges that Pavano demanded she sign the prenup while exhibiting controlling and violent behavior. She expresses the constant pressure of having to “walk on eggshells” around him, fearing his reactions.
A state judge initially upheld the prenup as valid but mandated Pavano to make a one-time payment of $300,000 and also purchase Alyssa a house valued up to $1 million, provide jewelry worth $50,000, and offer a new car. Despite an agreement for shared custody, Alyssa has sought a restraining order against Pavano while he cares for their child at home.
The couple first met in Florida in 2005, but after just nine months, Alyssa discovered Pavano was allegedly seeing someone else. Not wanting to be part of his “rotation,” she cut ties, yet they rekindled their relationship in 2007 and married in 2011.
Pavano, noted for signing a four-year, $39.5 million contract with the Yankees in 2005, faced struggles on the field, making only 26 starts over three seasons with a 5.00 ERA. His performance earned him the nickname “American Idol” due to his frequent injuries. He continued to play for four more seasons after leaving the Yankees.
As the divorce process continues, Pavano’s legal team has until Friday to respond to Alyssa’s latest requests regarding premarital issues, with both parties scheduled to appear in court that same day for further proceedings.
