Comedian attacks piñata in fit of rage after learning Trump is gaining traction with Latino voters

Actor John Leguizamo attacked Piñata on Tuesday after learning that former President Donald Trump was gaining support from Latino voters.

After mocking Trump campaign ads targeting Latino voters, “Daily Show” guest host expresses regret over polls showing Trump gaining support among Latino voters expressed.

“Clearly, Trump has made no effort to win over Latino voters or prioritize them,” Leguizamo scoffed. “But what’s most painful is that his lazy strategy is actually working.”

The comedy show played a news clip showing poll results from earlier this year that showed Trump with a 6-point lead over Biden among Latino voters.

Leguizamo grabbed a piñata from under the desk and hit him with it.

The comedian yelled expletives in Spanish at President Trump while attacking the piñata.

After regaining his composure, Leguizamo warned that Democrats are in a bind because Latino voters trust Trump, not Biden, to address their biggest concern: inflation.

“The Democratic Party seems to be in trouble. And you might wonder how that’s possible. Is Donald Trump winning over Latinos? Donald Trump ‘build a wall’? Donald Trump “mass deportation”? Does anyone else think Daddy Yankee is the baseball player Donald Trump? But the truth is that in 2024, Latino voters will be thinking differently,” he said.

“That’s true. For Latinos, this election is all about inflation. It makes sense! Inflation is terrible right now,” he said, insisting that President Trump doesn’t have the solutions to solve the crisis.

Another recent poll by Axios/Ipsos shows that Latinos overwhelmingly support Trump over Biden on important issues such as the economy.

The poll found that only 20% of Latinos think Biden is “good for the U.S. economy,” while 42% of respondents think the same about Trump. Latinos also support President Trump on immigration, crime, and public safety.

The Hill reports that a recent New York Times/Siena College poll found that Biden received 50% support among Latino voters, a historically low number for a Democrat. It is. At the same time, Trump enjoys 41% support among Latinos, one of the highest for any Republican candidate in recent elections.
