Hannah Freier, House Operations Director for House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-Los Angeles), was convicted of Never Trump when Young Republicans in Washington, D.C., supported former President Donald Trump as a presidential candidate. This was revealed in an email obtained by Breitbart News.
Mr. Freier is one of the most powerful officials in Mr. Johnson’s office, controlling all matters related to access to the Capitol grounds and buildings. The Speaker has tremendous control and authority over the Capitol, and Mr. Freier is his chief staff member in that regard, having been hired for the position in November 2023, shortly after Mr. Johnson became speaker. Ta.According to her LinkedIn page, she previously worked as a senior adviser on the House Administration Committee and before that in Johnson’s personal office. She also previously served as a legal assistant to Sen. John Kennedy (R-Louisiana), and has since interned with Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) in the first half of 2013. He has held various positions in the Republican Party going back to 2010. While Rubio was defending his Gang of Eight pardon plan in the Senate. The reason this date and time is important is that it was the day Florida Governor Ron DeSantis entered the 2024 Republican presidential primary against Trump on the platform formerly known as Platform X. The DC Young Republican email account dismissed her concerns by replying, “Losers don’t care.”
That wasn’t the end. Sources familiar with the matter told Breitbart News that Fuller had an emotional interaction with others at the Capitol and became completely emotional during a violent anti-Trump rant. Fraser regularly criticized Trump, attacked the former president and complained about him to multiple people who spoke to Breitbart News. Mr. Freier regularly complained about Mr. Trump’s character and said he would not support Mr. Trump in the 2024 presidential election, people familiar with the matter said.
At the time she sent these emails, she was working as a “senior adviser” in Mr Johnson’s personal parliamentary office, according to her LinkedIn page. She served on the House Administration Committee for several months from June 2023 to November 2023. Johnson, of course, will become Speaker of the House in October 2023, just a few months after then-House Speaker Kevin McCarthy took office. He was expelled and shortly thereafter reinstated Freier into the team, where he now serves in a senior role.
Raj Shah, Johnson’s spokesman, did not respond to detailed questions from Breitbart News about the matter, including whether Johnson still trusts Freier following these revelations. Shah also addressed the questions Breitbart News sent specifically to Freier, specifically whether he still hates Trump or still supports him as the presumptive Republican presidential nominee. He also did not answer the question of whether he was doing so.
When asked about the matter, Shah simply said, “I have no comment.”
Sources said Mr. Freier recently told others that he would seek a future job in the Trump administration if Mr. Trump wins the November election. It’s unclear whether this episode will preclude that possibility, but given Trump’s long history with the Trump team and other Republican staffers and consultants, it seems like this is factored into such a decision.
