Last Tuesday, another unprovoked street attack occurred in New York City, when a man randomly beat a woman with a hockey stick in Manhattan.

The recent attacks come after multiple women shared their stories of being randomly punched in the face and assaulted by unknown men on the streets of New York City.
Some of the women recorded TikToks shortly after being assaulted in broad daylight, showing their followers their welts and bruises in a bid to draw attention to this alarming phenomenon.

The 40-year-old, an unsuccessful candidate for city council, mayor and governor, claims to be the great-great-grandson of Marcus Garvey, a prominent Jamaican black nationalist who died in 1940.
A video that Stra himself proudly posted shows him harassing a random young woman who was just walking on the sidewalk.
Activity on his Instagram account indicates that he is not currently in police custody.
