MSNBC Legal Analyst Predicts Trump’s Lawyers Will ‘Pummel’ Stormy Daniels On Stand, Accuse Her Of ‘Blackmail’

Former federal prosecutor Charles Coleman predicted Friday that former President Donald Trump’s lawyers will accuse porn star Stormy Daniels of trying to blackmail the president when she took the stand.

Trump is currently on trial on 34 felonies related to a $130,000 payment to Daniels, who remained silent about the alleged affair during his 2016 campaign. Coleman said on MSNBC’s “The Chris Jansing Report” that the former president’s lawyers will focus on how Daniels allegedly solicited money from Trump in an immoral manner, and that she herself He said that coaching would be necessary to ideally envision the future. “At the cross, I think you’re going to see a different animal emerge,” Coleman told host Chris Jansing. “And what I’m saying is, I expect Donald Trump’s lawyers to … really dig deep into the fact that this is essentially about extortion. You slept with a married man. However, I knew that the man was probably married, but he tried to get money from the fact that he didn’t want to go out and tell people that he had made this decision, which ultimately What would it change? “But it’s entirely to be expected that the defense attorneys in this case will try to knock her down as much as possible to undermine her overall credibility in front of the jury. ” he added. “And even among jurors, basically, she’s not going to sit with clean hands either, and who knows how that’s going to impact the deliberations? I think there is some sympathy among them.”

Coleman then detailed how Daniels’ attorneys would prepare her to testify at trial.

“Honestly, I’m not necessarily selling the story,” he says. “It’s important to prepare your demeanor, demeanor, tone, intonation, reactions, etc. so that you don’t come across as overly defensive, rude, or just plain mean in front of the jury. That’s the best part of preparing a witness. It’s a lot of time.”

All 12 jurors have been selected for Trump’s trial, including an investment banker, a security engineer with three children, a retired Lebanese man who likes fly fishing, a speech therapist, and a man with glasses.
