Former Rep. Ken Buck (R-Colo.) said Monday on CNN’s “Outfront” that Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) is “talking about” Russian propaganda. , said it was having a negative impact on U.S. foreign policy.
Guest host Erica Hill said, “I’m curious, you were on this show and you called Moscow Marjorie Green.” It seems like this nickname has stuck. Her anti-Ukrainian comments have received a lot of attention on Russian state television.
After playing a translated clip of Russian state television promoting Greene, Hill asked, “What do you think about that?”
Mr. Buck said: “Marjory of Moscow has reached new lows. As you know, during the Russian Revolution, Lenin spoke of American journalists who were writing glowing reports about Russia at the time, calling them useful fools. And I don’t even think Marjorie even rises to the point of being a useful idiot here.
He added: “She’s just feeding off Russian propaganda and doing great damage to American foreign policy in the process.”
“She has acted completely irresponsibly, but if you look at this period in history, Russia invaded Ukraine, and Ukraine is fighting for freedom. We fought for freedom in this war,” Buck said. We should be with the warriors of the world.”
