Harrison Bader wears a heart on his belt.
The Bronxville-born Mets outfielder received a lot of love this week for his game-winning hit against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Monday and his support for Israel with a white Star of David on his waistband.

Bader, 29, drew cheers from the Bronx.
“It’s a shame he’s not with the Yankees anymore. This makes me so proud!” Sam Suney wrote in the X thread.
Posting his support for Mr. Bader on X, he added:

Bader, whose father Louis is also Jewish, Showing necklaces worn for hostages in Gaza.
The chain was a gift from a Jewish fan during spring training, and “I’ll be wearing this until all the hostages go home,” Gordon posted.
Bader, who attended Horace Mann High School in the Bronx, signed a one-year, $10.5 million contract with the Mets in January.
He was originally scheduled to play for Israel in the 2023 World Baseball Classic, but declined, citing a desire to stay healthy after an injury-plagued 2022 season.
