Weeks after revealing she was dating a mystery man, Valerie Bertinelli has officially introduced her boyfriend, Mike Goodnow. And she did it with the help of Taylor Swift.
On Saturday, the former Food Network star took to Instagram to share a photo of herself cuddling up with Goodno.
Earlier this month, the TV personality and author, who first revealed she was dating a new boyfriend in March, revealed the “three week rule” she follows with her new boyfriend.

Bertinelli captioned the post, “I’ll drink what you think. And I’ll be high smoking your jokes all night long,” a reference to the song “So High School” from Swift’s latest album. Quoted. “The Tortured Poets Club.”

“We don’t go any longer without seeing each other,” the “One Day at a Time” star told People magazine about their long-distance relationship. “At the end of the day, it’s about finding the joy in life and sharing it.”
In an interview, Bertinelli recalled that her boyfriend first caught her attention a few years ago when he commented on one of her Instagram posts.
“I thought he was interesting,” she recalls. “Even though it was strictly platonic, there was something about him that I felt relatable and comfortable with. He felt like we hit it off.”

The two continued to communicate through social media, and Bertinelli said, “He would DM me every few months.”
But after their first phone call in January, the couple’s bond grew stronger.
“Like him, I was very wary.” Won two Golden Globe Awards Said. “His voice had the most beautiful tone. I thought, ‘Oh, I can’t talk to this person right now, because he’s really sexy.'”
“We had strong feelings for each other and didn’t want to admit it.”
They decided to try the long distance, and Bertinelli said, “You only live once.”
The couple met in person for the first time on a romantic trip to New York City in March.

“I was driving up to meet him and he was already standing outside the hotel,” Bertinelli recalled. “I jumped out of the car, ran up to him and hugged him. It was the best hug. I felt like I was home right away. In this man’s arms, this is where I belong. Everything… It felt incredibly right.” ”

Bertinelli was previously married eddie van halen, first husband and father of her only child, Wolfgang Van Halen. Her last marriage was to Tom Vitale, a financial planner. She spoke openly about the difficult times they went through in their relationship.
“I want to be clear that this process has taken a long time,” Bertinelli told the media about finding love again. “I started being more intentional about my healing.” That meant taking lots of walks together. [my dog] Luna, lots of therapy sessions, lots of learning and I should feel better.

“First came work,” she continued. “Why I thought I didn’t deserve to be loved. Why I was using food to numb my emotions. All the drama I couldn’t handle about Ed and her last marriage. trauma.”
After doing a lot of emotional work, she learned to love herself again. By doing so, she was able to open her heart to being loved by someone.
