A 14-year-old boy was shot and wounded Sunday night inside a playground next to a middle school in Brooklyn, police said.
Authorities said the boy was shot once in the left leg while at the Buildersea Playground behind IS 68 near Flatlands Avenue and East 81st Street in Canarsie just after 5 p.m.
Police said the man was taken to nearby Maimonides Medical Center in stable condition.
It is unclear whether the victim was the intended target as the NYPD continues to investigate.
So far, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.
