zurich classic preview
This year’s Zurich Classic will feature some great teams in the Big Easy. Whether you’ve been coming here for years or playing for the first time, this field is sure to provide entertainment.
One of the biggest debut pairings is Shane Lowry and Rory McIlroy. The Irish duo will look to cause havoc while channeling their inner Ryder Cup mentality.
2022 winners Xander Schauffele and Patrick Cantlay are poised to win the title again after falling just short with a T4 finish last year. They are currently the favorites to win this event.
Last year’s champions Davis Riley and Nick Hardy are back to defend their titles.
Brothers love to play at this event. At least three sets of brothers are competing in New Orleans.
Former U.S. Open champion Matt Fitzpatrick and his brother Alex are back to play in New Orleans. The event was a huge one for the Fitzpatrick brothers last year, as featured on Season 2 of Full Swing. They shot a 2-over 74 on Sunday to finish 19th, but that took the wind out of their sails. Will this be the year the British duo join forces to win the title?
Brothers Parker and Pierceson Coody, newcomers to the PGA Tour, will be participating. Nikolai and Rasmus Hugaard are also participating.
Other notable pairs include Matt Kuchar and Steve Stricker, Team Europe’s Ryder Cup captain Luke Donald and one of his assistant captains, Francesco Molinari, Keith Mitchell and Joel Dahmen, and Corey Dahmen. The all-Canadian team includes Connors and Taylor Pendrith, Saheeth Segala and Will Zalatoris. .
