Jimmie Allen talks about a dark time in his life.
In an emotional conversation with Kathie Lee Gifford, the country star recalled the moment she considered suicide after being accused of sexual assault by multiple women.
“I was sitting there and it felt like my whole world literally fell apart,” the father of six told Gifford. “Because the first thing my brain thinks about is not a career, but ‘How am I going to provide for my children?'”
In May 2023, Allen’s former manager accused him of sexually abusing her over a year and a half while they worked together. According to People magazine, the woman later dropped the charges against Allen.

The “Best Shot” singer denied the allegations and instead apologized to his now estranged wife Alexis Gale and children for the humiliation he caused them by the affair.
Shortly thereafter, Allen was accused of sexual abuse by two other women. At the time, Allen filed two separate counterclaims, alleging that she: Both sexual contacts were consensual, This was revealed in court documents filed in Tennessee federal court and obtained by Fox News Digital.
After the accusations and lawsuit came to light, Allen recalled losing various business deals and ultimately finding himself in a dark place.

“I was shocked. My life insurance covers suicide,” he told Gifford. “I don’t feel that way now, but in the midst of a society where you’re not innocent until proven guilty, the moment you feel like you have nothing, you know you’re guilty. I said it, so it is.” It must be true. ”

“I moved all the evidence, photos, text messages, videos, everything into one phone. I had a bullet in the gun clip. The moment I put the last bullet in, this was a freak situation. I That’s not the case.” I got a notification on my phone…a text message. ”
“My friend Chuck [Adams] texted me. He said, “Ending it is not the answer.” When I read the words he sent me, I read them again. I just stopped. I remember calling one of my friends and he answered. I handed him the gun. I said, “Take it.” There’s no need. ” My mom flew in and then I got calls from different artists checking on me and telling me they loved me, they cared about me, they knew who I was. became. ”
Allen eventually sought professional help, but her struggles with depression and suicidal thoughts persisted.
“I remember every day I was fighting: Do I want to live or do I not want to live?” he said. “When a bill comes due, I think, ‘Hey, if I did something, my family would get X amount of dollars,’ and then I realized that that’s not the way it should be.”
“After a few months, I started looking at the situation differently. I was like, ‘God, why is this happening to me?’ ‘God, what should I learn? ” he added.

In the end, he had son Ardyn (9 years old) with a previous relationship, daughters Naomi (4 years old) and Zara (2 years old) with Alexis, son Cohen (6 months old), and Allen, who has twins Amari and Aria with a woman named Danielle, has since found purpose.
”[I want] It’s about staying true to yourself and being true to others,” he told Gifford.
“I’m healing and growing for myself and my children,” he added.
