Joe Biden Suggests War Is Peace After Approving Weapons for Ukraine

President Joe Biden suggested on Wednesday that the war is peaceful after signing a bill that provides funding for Ukraine to wage war against Russia.

Biden: “It’s a good day for world peace” claimed Reflecting on George Orwell’s novel “1984,” about military funding in the official White House dining room.

Biden said the funds “make America safer, make the world safer, continue America’s leadership in the world, and we all know that.”

The Senate passed the foreign aid package on Wednesday. Just minutes after the vote, Biden signed the bill “so we can begin sending arms and equipment to Ukraine this week.”

“It’s been a difficult road,” he continued, noting that people on the ground in Ukraine celebrated the bill’s passage. “But in the end we did what America always does: We rose to the moment.”

The House passed the bill to the Senate, with House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-Louisiana) allowing Democrats to take control of the House majority on Saturday to advance Biden’s war priorities.Johnson gave Biden ‘almost everything’ he asked for ‘without making too many concessions in return’, Punchbowl News report.
