Manchester City are still very much in it, though, their destiny in their own hands. But Arsenal have points on the board, a bumper goal difference and the wind behind, so if the champions are going to win a record-breaking fourth title in a row, City really can’t afford any slip-ups as they hit the final turn. You’d expect them to get the job done tonight, given they’ve beaten Brighton 11 times in the last 13 meetings … but the other two matches were a 1-1 draw and a 3-2 defeat at the Amex, and those came in two of their last three visits. So nothing’s certain, especially not at the Business End when the nerves start to jangle. Arsenal fans (and overly optimistic Liverpool ones) are all Seagulls tonight. Kick-off is at 8pm BST. It’s on!

important events

Brighton made three changes from the team that drew 1-1 with Burnley 12 days ago. Adam Lallana, Valentin Barco and goaltender Jason Steele are in the lineup. Simon Adingra and Bert Verbruggen were placed on the bench, while Pervis Estupinan suffered an injury that ended his season.

Manchester City are without injured Erling Haaland. Following the 1-0 win over Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-finals, the team also made a change in goal, with Ederson replacing Stefan Ortega. Elsewhere, Mateo Kovacic and Josko Gvardiol will replace John Stones and Jack Grealish on the bench.

Update date and time

preamble

…and now there are two. It’s true that Liverpool aren’t officially out of the title race yet…but come on.

But Manchester City are still on the brink and their fate is in their own hands. However, Arsenal have a large lead and goal difference, and have a tailwind. City cannot afford to fail heading into the final if the champions are aiming for a record-breaking fourth successive title. turn around. Given they have beaten Brighton 11 times in their last 13 meetings, you would expect them to get the job done tonight…but their remaining two games were a 1-1 draw and a 3-2 defeat at the Amex. And those were the results. On 2 of my last 3 visits. So nothing is certain, especially on the business end where nerves are high. All Arsenal fans (and overly optimistic Liverpool fans) will be seagulls tonight. Kick-off is at 8pm (BST). It’s on!
