On Tuesday, Play Golf Myrtle Beach released the “Q at Myrtle Beach” qualifiers on YouTube.

George was one of eight YouTubers who participated in a 16-player, 18-hole shootout for a spot in this year’s inaugural Myrtle Beach Classic.

He and professional golfer Matt Akins were tied at 3 under with 18, but Akins beat him in a playoff.

After the main video finished, eight content creators from the preliminaries started posting videos.

But on Thursday, Twitter user Patrick Lowry congratulated Brian on earning a spot in the Myrtle Beach Classic. The tweet included a YouTube link to the Bryan Brothers. Qualifying video.

The video introduced his path to passing the qualifying round. At approximately 16:44, Brian explained that he was speaking on the phone with Darren Nelson, who is the tournament director for the Myrtle Beach Classic.

“Hey, I wanted to see what you’re doing from May 6th to 12th. We’d like to offer you a spot in the Myrtle Beach Classic,” Nelson said.

Brian is all smiles and fist-pumping for the camera, looking beyond excited.

“Yes, there I am,” he said. “Holy cow! I’m not lying when they told me it was a phone call, but even though I had hopes, I didn’t want to think that I would actually have a chance to play in a PGA Tour event. Honestly, I don’t know what to do right now. I don’t even know what to think. I’m still like a sacred cow.”

Nelson acknowledged that he was close in qualifying and that the Myrtle Beach Classic team wanted to offer him a spot.

Brian gave another fist pump, excitement oozing out of him.

This will be his first PGA Tour event in his home state of South Carolina. George and Wesley competed in the Butterfield-Brumuda Championship last fall. But it’s clear that playing in front of a home crowd at Palmetto State is special.
