The New York Police Department’s chief of patrol responded to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s (D.N.Y.) criticism of police for their “horrible” choice to enforce the law against Columbia University students. responded to the MP.

The chief then spoke out about “anti-Semitic speech” and “vile language” against police officers. He also asked if AOC agreed that “hate speech of any kind is unacceptable.”
Chell went on to say, “Hate has no place in our society.”
AOC mocked the police chief’s response, saying, “‘School rules?'” That’s not true. ”
“The inaccuracy of the legal components in your statement is extremely concerning, given that law enforcement agencies are targeting children. I promised not to call you and now it’s time to keep my promise,” she added.
Ocasio-Cortez finally visited protesters on Columbia University’s campus the next day and reportedly praised the leadership of the pro-Palestinian camp.
