Jets pick Braelon Allen in fourth round after flurry of NFL draft moves

The Jets continued to improve their offense by making three trades and acquiring their first pick on the third day of the NFL Draft.

The Jets selected Wisconsin running back Braylon Allen with the 134th pick in the fourth round of the draft.

This was announced after the team traded away picks 111, 126, and 129.

Allen joins a backfield led by Breece Hall that also includes 2023 draft pick Israel Abanikananda.

Allen was a three-year starter at the University of Wisconsin, leading the team in rushing in each of those three seasons. He had 20 career 100-yard rushing games. Allen is only 20 years old.

He rushed for 35 touchdowns in college.

The Jets started the day with three fourth-round picks.

They traded pick 111 to the Packers in exchange for picks 126 (4th round) and 190 (6th round).

Joe Douglas then sent the No. 126 pick to the Lions in exchange for a 2025 third-round pick.

He then traded pick No. 129 to the 49ers in exchange for two fifth-round picks this year (picks No. 173 and No. 176).
