Los Angeles County deputy dies following medical emergency at station

A Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy died Saturday afternoon after becoming unresponsive at a station.

According to Fox 11, the South Los Angeles Police Department said they requested an ambulance for an unresponsive sheriff’s deputy around 4 p.m. Saturday.

The deputy was pronounced dead. His cause of death is unknown.

Authorities have not released the identity of the deputy.

A procession was held from South Los Angeles Station to the coroner’s office.
