Donald Trump slammed Mitt Romney as a “total loser” in a post on Saturday.
He also endorsed Riverton Mayor Trent Staggs, who is running to replace Mitt Romney.

Mr. Staggs previously accused Mr. Romney of being “out of touch.”
In a July 2023 interview with Breitbart News, Staggs said Utah voters felt “100 percent” betrayed by Romney’s voting record and lack of time in the state. he said.
Staggs also accused Romney of being “out of touch” with Republican voters in the state.
After Romney announced he would not run for re-election in September 2023, Staggs responded that he was “ready” to field “America’s First” in Utah.
Before receiving Trump’s endorsement, Staggs received support from Rick Grenell, the former acting director of national intelligence in the Trump administration.
