PHILADELPHIA — Three days later, Mitchell Robinson is no longer able to quickly reboot into his walking boot.
Robinson, who limped out of the Wells Fargo Center after losing Game 3 on Thursday with a walking boot, attempted to play Sunday but missed Game 4 of the Knicks’ playoff series vs. the 76ers. Ta.
The 7-foot center did not play in the second half due to a sprained left ankle that was surgically repaired.
Early in Game 3, Sixers center Joel Embiid was called for an aggravated foul for grabbing Robinson’s lower right leg off the floor as the Knicks center was going for a dunk.

Donte DiVincenzo then called the foul on Embiid a “dirty” play.
Robinson, who missed 50 regular-season games after undergoing ankle surgery in December, is usually the first player on the court for pregame warmups, about two hours before game time, but he will be at game time. He didn’t come out of the locker room until then. 1 hour before tip-off.
Manager Tom Thibodeau said Robinson would be decided during the game, and the Knicks announced Robinson’s absence around 12:30 p.m.
The former starter averaged 3.7 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.3 blocked shots in 20.0 minutes per game in the series.
All four of his blocks came in Game 1, where he played 30 minutes, and he has 30 blocks in the past two games combined.

Precious Achiuwa came on in the second half for Robinson in Game 3 after not playing in the first two games of the series.
The Knicks also have third-year center Jericho Sims available if needed.
