In a new interview, Pennsylvania Democratic Sen. John Fetterman denounced the “germs of anti-Semitism” seen in anti-Israel protests on American college campuses.
“Protesting is a great American value, but I don’t think living in Hamas tents is really helpful,” Fetterman said on NewsNation’s “The Hill Sunday.”
“Let’s be clear: There are seeds of anti-Semitism in these protests, which can sometimes intensify. And once again, the Colombian leader, who said some terrible things, One person included, they were saying things like, “Well, we’re lucky.” I said things like “We’re not killing Zionists,” and he said, “Well, you take those things out of context.” In his defense, he said, “It was stolen from me.” ”
“And I think that’s very similar to a monoculture, the way university presidents do things, where they create the same kind of language, the same situation, and it’s replicated. And now you have something like this. It’s no surprise that we’re seeing the signs and finding ourselves on a campus like this,” Fetterman said.

Fetterman reiterated his support for Israel’s right as a nation to defend itself, and went on to say that the Jewish state also has the right to “go after Hamas and eliminate it, or at least force it to surrender.”

“I wonder why we don’t talk about it more,” said the Pennsylvania Democrat. “And if you’re going to protest, why aren’t we protesting…I can’t end that war, I can’t end that war with Joe Biden, I can’t end that war with Netanyahu. It can’t end, but Hamas can end the war now.” They were able to free the last hostage and surrender. ”

“And all the misery and death and destruction will also end there. Therefore, for true peace we cannot allow Hamas to function,” he added. “It’s very reasonable to argue that we need to neutralize Hamas.”
“I support peace, I support a two-state solution, but if I like the issue, I’m going to stand by Israel, and that’s exactly what I’ve done,” Fetterman said before the primary. I remembered what I was talking about.
