Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein was arrested Saturday night during a pro-Palestinian protest on the campus of Washington University in St. Louis, Fox Digital reported.
In a video posted to the 2024 presidential candidate’s X (formerly Twitter) account, Stein appears to have her hands tied behind her back and is being escorted away by police officers. Protesters could be heard shouting and chanting in the background, while at least one person could be heard off-camera yelling for Stein to be arrested. “Jill Stein has been arrested!” one demonstrator was heard shouting.

Some schools adjusted academic schedules due to rising tensions between pro-Palestinian activists and universities. Columbia University announced on April 22 that it would switch its remaining in-person classes to an online hybrid schedule as protesters set up tents on campus. Additionally, the University of Southern California announced the cancellation of its main stage commencement ceremony after backlash for removing the valedictorian from speaking due to “safety” concerns.
