It’s not personal. George Santos is honest for once.
A lying former congressman from Long Island. He earned some measure of payback against several media stars for his candid criticism of the gown worn at the lavish White House Correspondents’ Dinner on Saturday night.
“Tonight I will be doing my second annual White House Correspondent assignment, so get ready.” [sic] Dinner fashion review! Please don’t shed any tears because you know I’m coming for you.” Santos It started with X.
Similar to last year’s gaffe, the former congressman, who describes himself as a “generalist cultural critic,” gave passionate opinions about fashion in the media at the gala event.
“Maid of all birds [sic] nightmare. This is neither in nor out…I was just speechless at how awful that dress and accessory attempt was. What was @JujuChangABC thinking…stop being ‘vintage’…” the fabulist said about Juju Chan.
“Did someone say PINK?” I struggled with this and found it to be a failure. Miss Sun here needed less, but she wanted more… Sorry, sorry @kwelkernbc, you clearly say ‘less is more’ in your life. ,” Santos scolded NBC’s Kristen Welker.
“Then I was disappointed…Last year I gave @sunny best dressed only for her to come and bombard me with this really bad look…she stumbled into the time machine and out of an old dress It’s like they stole this dress from me.” [sic] The Spice Girls are in your closet. I had high hopes for Sonny…” Santos declared about Sonny Hostin on “The View.”
“Oh @Alyssafarah… when we say we want you to be a more structured girl, we don’t mean the type of structure… that dress was simply made for you Not…I don’t want to bash the dress, because it’s redeemable, you just didn’t understand the mission,” Santos said of Alyssa Farah on “The View.” Ta.
But the former congressman wasn’t all negative. He was able to find some clothes that met his high dress standards.
“So I have to say it was hard to find good looks this year, but there were a few who understood the mission and I’d like to start with CNN’s @abbydphillip. This one is elegant and has an edge. It worked and showed just the right amount of sass,” Santos said, praising CNN’s Abby Phillippe.
“Another classic red carpet attention-grabbing look came from this stunning beauty… How Rachel Brosnahan is taking fashion week 2024 and how she wore boots in this look.” Look how she shattered the House,” the congressman said of the actress.
“2023 After Gale’s Failure” [sic] King appears in a stunning gown that absolutely elevates her in a way we’ve never seen before. This is her pure class and elegance rolled into one and I admit she killed it! ” Santos said of CBS’ Gayle King.
“This is an example of someone who knows how to use their body type, figure and youth to create such a great look. @SophiaBush This is so clean and yet above all likable [sic]. I love it! ” Mr. Santos said of actress Sophia Bush.
“Sue me. I love Chuzpa!” Santos said of Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.), who ditched the traditional black-tie dinner attire and opted for a tuxedo hoodie instead. .
Santos unleashed her fiery fashion opinions on the world late Saturday through Sunday. When he woke up, the former congressman realized he might have ruffled his feathers a little.
“Apparently some people got mad at me for the comments I made about their clothes…I woke up to angry text messages…” Santos argued:.
“Here’s some advice. [sic]…Next time, ask your friends who have fashion sense. [sic] Leaving the house looking ridiculous. I’m waiting for comments here, but why do you think? Because it can be done. “

Santos was expelled from Congress last December and has since spent his time juggling a variety of jobs and hobbies.
He faces 23 federal charges for allegedly defrauding donors and laundering campaign funds. Mr. Santos denies wrongdoing.
Around the holiday season, Santos began selling personalized video messages on Cameo for $250 each.
Later, after canceling the State of the Union address in March, Santos announced plans to run in New York’s 1st Congressional District for the seat held by incumbent Congressman Nick Larota (R-N.Y.).
The move was widely seen as retaliation against one of the most outspoken Republicans in the House of Representatives’ New York delegation.
Mr. Santos announced last week that he was withdrawing from his campaign as an independent against Larota after failing to raise just a dime in the first few weeks of the campaign.
