More than 1,000 protesters gathered in Hamburg, Germany, to take part in Islamist demonstrations over the weekend, according to German media.
According to a German newspaper Die Welt, The demonstration took place in Hamburg’s Steindamm district on Saturday afternoon.
Muslim protesters held various signs supporting Islamic fundamentalism. One of the signs read “The Califat Dies,” which means “The Caliphate is the Solution.”

The Hamburg protests come as anti-Israel protests intensify around the world as the Israel-Hamas war creeps toward its eighth month. In the United States, protesters at Columbia University, Harvard University, the University of Texas at Austin and elsewhere set up tents in the university’s quads as a sign of solidarity with the Palestinians.

“The situation is emotional,” Berlin Police Chief Barbara Slovik said at the time. She said: “We expect an influx of troublemakers who may use the conference to commit crimes. The conference leadership was unable to contain such developments. That is why the police banned the demonstration.”
