Jamaal Bowman ‘Fully’ in Favor of Resettling Gaza Migrants in U.S.

Congressman Jamal Bowman (D-N.Y.) expressed full “support” for the United States to “accept” Palestinian refugees from Gaza.

Monaka interview In an interview with a Yonkers Voice reporter, Bowman said the United States is a “nation of immigrants” and “asylum seekers” that has always had its “doors open to immigrants.”[I] I fully support that,” he said in response to a question about the US opening its doors to immigrants from Gaza.

“Should the United States bring people in from Gaza?” a reporter asked Bowman.

“We are a nation of immigrants, and we are a nation of asylum seekers. People fleeing persecution, oppression, and violence. America has always been an open home to them,” Bowman said. Ta.

That is, whether they are coming from Palestine, Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, Mexico; [or] Haitians, they are here to contribute to our economy, and 99.9 percent of them are doing so. We’ve always been a place that opens its doors to immigrants who come here. [I] I fully support it.

Bowman went on to add that he “totally” supports “amnesty for immigrants who have been here for a significant period of time and have contributed to American society.”

A New York state lawmaker made headlines in September 2023 when he set off a fire alarm at a House of Representatives office building.

Most recently, a parody social media account fooled Bowman by pretending to be the “chief rabbi of Gaza.”

The parody account led those running Bowman’s social media accounts to believe that the account was trying to raise money for the New York Democratic Party.

Bowman’s interview comes as anti-Israel protests and encampments have sprung up on college campuses across the country.

The first camp at Columbia University inspired camps to be established on other college and university campuses, including Northwestern University, Harvard University, George Washington University, the University of California at Law Angeles, and the University of Pennsylvania.

Since the camp began, students have been suspended, protesters who attended the camp have been arrested, and graduation ceremonies have been canceled.

Following a Hamas attack on October 7, 2023, Israel launched a self-defense operation in the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip, resulting in 1,200 deaths and over 200 hostages.

People in northern Gaza are reportedly facing starvation as Israel continues its self-defense operations and battle against Hamas.
