On March 8, 2014, Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 departed from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, bound for the Chinese capital. Thirty-nine minutes after takeoff, the aircraft disappeared from air traffic control radar displays.
The plane was not found.
But 10 years after the plane’s disappearance, citizen journalist Ashton Forbes believes he has the answer to what exactly happened to Flight 370.
“Where do you think this plane ended up?” Pat Gray asked Forbes.
“I think the most likely location for the plane is Diego Garcia Military Base,” Forbes told Gray. “There is circumstantial evidence pointing to that location.”
Based on the evidence Forbes has dissected, he tells Gray that the plane appears to have been pulled westward and ended up over the Maldives.
“An interesting note is that there was a B-777 fire extinguisher that washed up on the Maldives and was reported as a bomb, but was actually just a B-777 fire extinguisher. is empty,” Forbes explained, noting that this could mean there was a fire.
Forbes also told Gray that there were 20 islanders on a small island just north of Diego Garcia who saw the plane in the early morning hours.
“They seemed very reliable and you could see the blue and red stripes of Malaysia Airlines and you could see them flying low enough that you could see the windows of the plane,” he said, adding that islanders believe the plane was flying close to Diego. -Added that the base was seen flying south towards Garcia’s forces.
According to Forbes, the only adult American passenger on board posted on 4Chan that he was “drugged and locked in a dark place, unable to think clearly.”
The passenger posted a black photo, and the photo’s metadata included coordinates pointing to Diego Garcia.
“This is us, we did this. We hid it in an advanced military base in the middle of the Indian Ocean, where no one would find it, the perfect place to hide it. It’s the location,” Forbes says.
