Punches were thrown during Tuesday’s game between the Brewers and the Rays, and the bench sat out.
Tampa Bay’s Jose Siri easily grounded out to second base and popped out to first base. But when he finally touched first base, Milwaukee pitcher Abner Uribe had something to say.
The two exchanged pleasantries, and at first it seemed calm. Uribe then landed a right jab on Siri as the referee stopped Siri and Brewers first baseman Rhys Hoskins ran over.

Siri fought back with overhand punches with both fists, but Uribe tried to land a few more punches after Hoskins pushed Siri away.
Only two of them threw punches, and they quickly separated. However, after Hoskins was removed from Uribe, he approached Siri and had to be restrained.

Astros’ Jose Abreu sent to Abor after rocky start to season
The animosity between Siri and the Brewers had been building all night, but it started when Siri sat down to watch a solo home run from Freddy Peralta in the third inning.
When Siri took the field again in the sixth inning, Peralta drilled him with a 3-0 fastball, leading to the ejection of Peralta and Milwaukee manager Pat Murphy.
A melee broke out in the top of the 8th inning, with the home Brewers leading 8-2, which ultimately proved to be the winning run.
Siri’s ground out was the only thing Uribe recorded on the night, as he and Siri were both immediately ejected. Hobie Milner and Thiago Vieria recorded the final five outs to preserve the victory.
