Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) made a hat with the “MUGA” logo and attached it to a cardboard cutout of House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-Louisiana) standing outside the Capitol. Decorated.
Speaking to reporters on Wednesday morning, Greene announced she would move forward with a motion to remove House Speaker Johnson and allow Democrats to take control of the House by allowing President Joe Biden’s Ukraine resolution to pass. He mocked Mr. Johnson.
“The Unionist Party is about ‘making Ukraine great again.’ The Unionist Party’s goal is to finance all foreign wars. They think this is the business model to do.” she said, holding up a hat with the initials “Make Ukraine Great Again.”
“Americans don’t want to use their hard-earned tax dollars to fund murder and murder in foreign countries. They’re tired of it. And they’re screaming as loud as they can.” she added.

Johnson’s puzzling decision to work with Democrats to pass Biden’s Ukraine policy comes twice in two days.
- April 19: Prime Minister Johnson makes history by relying on Democrats on the House Rules Committee to push the proposed rules to the House floor over majority opposition.
- April 20: Democrats take over the House and help Johnson clear key procedural hurdles on a rules bill to set up a later floor vote. 165 Democrats and only 151 Republicans voted “yes.”
In response to Green’s announcement, Johnson condemned the resignation motion. Democrats will protect Johnson’s position by voting with establishment Republicans to keep him in office.
“This motion is wrong for the Republican conference, wrong for the Republican organization, and wrong for the country,” he said in a statement.
At a press conference on Tuesday, Johnson tried to use the November election as a reason for Democrats and establishment Republicans to keep him in office.
“I have to do my job. We have to do what we believe is right,” Johnson said. claimed. “To keep this job going and get it done, we need people who are serious about what they do here. So I have to do what I believe is right every day and let the chips fall where they fall.”
