More than 1,600 people have been arrested since April 18 for protesting on university campuses against Israel’s war in Gaza.

ABC News said the arrests were made at 30 schools.

ABC News reported:

Arrests continue on campuses across the US as police clear student camps protesting Israel’s war in Gaza. At UCLA, police removed barricades and stormed hundreds of demonstrators who refused to comply with orders to leave, scuffled with them and arrested them.

Other arrests were made on campuses including Yale University, Dartmouth College, the State University of New York at Buffalo and Stony Brook. The Associated Press counts at least 38 arrests at campus protests across the country since April 18, with more than 1,600 arrests at 30 schools.

In 2020, Joe Biden condemned the violence that occurred during Donald Trump’s presidency.
