There was a Buddy Hield sighting in Philadelphia, and it couldn’t have come at a worse time for the Knicks.
The former Oklahoma star, who was unable to contribute in the series, scored 17 points in the first half in Thursday night’s game in Philadelphia, giving the 76ers a 54-51 lead over the Knicks at halftime.
Hield had a dominant shooting performance, making five 3-pointers and 5 of 7 from the field.
Hield led the Philadelphia bench and defeated the Knicks 30-0 in the first half.
It was a story of two quarters for the Knicks.
Coach Tom Thibodeau’s team led 33-11 at one point, but still ended the first quarter with a 36-22 lead.
However, in the second quarter they were up 32-15.
