Stuntman and “Jackass” star Steve-O is leaving the Hollywood hills after more than a decade, opting for more land and less taxes in Tennessee.
The former TV star turned stand-up comedian moved his family, animals, and even his skateboard to his new, expansive property and adopted them to a ranch in the South, where he has moved for the rest of his life.
Stephen Orr (real name Stephen Gilchrist Glover) did what many residents of California and New York do, illustrating the difference in lifestyle between the Democratic-run state and conservative Tennessee.
Upon arriving at their new home, Glover posted a video about the move. YouTube channel And celebrated some of his newfound freedom. This included viewing firearms.
“We’re not just a skate party, we’re having a full-fledged gun party!” Steve-O announced. After he and his fiancée fired various guns, Glover was welcomed into the neighborhood with a visit from local police officers.
“I never want to go home,” Steve-O said, noting that when he travels, he always tries to finish all errands right away and get back to the ranch as soon as possible.
“If you’re going to leave the ranch, you have to do precision strike missions so you can quickly come back and finish your days,” he said. This is important to Steve-O, he noted, as it means he won’t have to pay California taxes.
Tennessee is one of several states, including Texas and Florida, that have no state income tax.
The stuntman and his partner explained that they also modified a utility terrain vehicle (UTV) to be road-legal. This, along with riding bikes on their own property, was a new freedom they said they happily enjoyed.
Glover had managed to keep three goats and other livestock in a makeshift barn on the second floor of his Hollywood property, but now he can let the animals roam freely at his new ranch. Became.
His animals include chickens, two pigs, a dog, four cats, and he is currently on his fourth goat.
Glover also used the example of a vending machine provided by a sponsor to show that due to lack of space in Hollywood, the vending machine had to be lifted onto the property by crane and placed on top of the skate ramp. I did.
The same skate ramp that had previously been crammed into Hollywood’s backyard after clearing the land was easily rebuilt on his new site beneath a 22-foot parking garage.
Steve-O said some of the jobs he’s willing to take time away from the ranch include appearing on shows and other podcasts. However, in late March 2024, he explained that he would not appear on Bill Maher’s “Club Random” show. Maher refused To respect his calmness. Maher’s producers reportedly told Steve-O’s team that he refused to smoke or drink while recording.
Steve-O has been sober for nearly 16 years.
“These prolific marijuana guys, I’ve been on their show and blowing marijuana smoke in my face wasn’t that important to them,” Steve-O added. . “For Bill Maher, it was a deal-breaker.”
Mr. Marr did not publish any response to Steve-O’s claims.
