Joined by Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) Breitbart News Saturday On SiriusXM, host Matt Boyle discusses her commitment to “expose Speaker Mike Johnson and his power-sharing arrangements with the Democratic Party.”
Greene announced Wednesday that she would force a vote on the motion to leave the chamber after House Democratic leaders said they would protect Johnson (R-Los Angeles) as speaker.
“This is not something we want to do, but I think it’s something we absolutely have to do,” Greene told Boyle about pushing through the motion to override the vote. “Everyone always talks about the United Party in Washington, D.C.. Now, the Democrats announced that they would vote to save Mike Johnson, and yesterday they said on the news that they were going to extract some kind of deal from Johnson in exchange for their votes. The momentum of the United Party is on full display.”
She says voters have a right to know where their legislators stand on the issue.
“This is exactly what Americans who are preparing to vote, not just in the primaries, but in November, should be seeing when they go to the primaries and vote,” she said. “The Republican majority was given to us by America because America was fed up with Democratic policies. Now, ever since we had Mike Johnson as Speaker, Mike Johnson, the Republican elected Speaker of the House, has been a Democrat. They have continued to serve their agenda on a platter and give Chuck Schumer, Hakeem Jeffries, and the Biden White House everything they want.
“And you know, Americans are fighting hard to make ends meet. They’re fed up with everything that’s going on. And the Republicans are standing up, putting on their big pants, and going to Washington. I think we need to do our job in D.C. and hold our own conferences accountable. And we need to clear a chair and we can put someone in the chair who is willing to fight the Democratic Party. .”
Boyle said her decision was driven by Johnson’s abandonment of three major policies, which Greene’s colleague Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) called the “triple betrayal.” Ta. Specifically, Prime Minister Johnson finished the work that had been done to pass each of 12 separate spending bills and, with overwhelming support from Democrats, reauthorized the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA). A two-part omnibus bill was passed with a forced vote. He has invoked warrant requests for espionage against Americans and implemented a plan to cancel tens of billions of dollars in aid to Ukraine, even though he promised not to do so without addressing the border crisis.

“It’s like he nullified the midterm elections and failed to get a Republican majority,” Boyle said. “That would take away the voice of the millions of Americans who voted in the midterm elections, right? We talk about threats to democracy. Well, here we go.”
Mr. Boyle referred to reports about what Democrats would demand from Mr. Johnson in exchange for saving him.
“One of the concepts that I think will emerge over the next few days, especially if Democrats vote as expected, is a so-called power-sharing agreement to protect him, right?… So what we’re going to look at now is that Mike Johnson will keep his job because he cannot win with Republican votes…he will have to rely on Democrats to remain Speaker of the House.
Mr Boyle asked whether Mr Johnson could do more damage this year in a coalition with the Democrats. Greene made it clear that the potential for further destruction is enormous.
“I think everyone should be afraid of Mike Johnson,” she replied.
Greene began by detailing the significance of Johnson’s capitulations to Democrats so far, starting with the spending bill. “Let’s walk through it.” So he funded the government in a two-part omnibus and said, “We don’t need any more omnibuses, we don’t need any more big spending packages, we don’t need 12 separate We don’t need a spending bill.” Well, it all stopped once they got rid of Kevin McCarthy.we [had] Passed seven separate spending bills. When Mike Johnson became chairman, there were only five things left for him to do. He scrapped that entire plan, agreed with Chuck Schumer on every word of the bill, and put together a two-part omnibus that would give the government more money than Nancy Pelosi spent. And this omnibus was literally a copy of Nancy Pelosi’s omnibus policy. Funding full-term abortions, funding transgender policies regarding children, fully funding the Department of Justice for all ongoing prosecutions, from the J6ers to President Trump with Jack Smith, and Mar. – Provided full funding to the FBI that searched for A. – Largo, and he gave them a brand new building. ”

She highlighted Johnson’s reversal on the warrant requirement, which a bipartisan coalition has been working to include in the FISA reauthorization for more than a year.
“Then, a week or two later, he comes out and reauthorizes FISA, and he becomes the deciding vote and rejects the warrant requirement — that’s what he did.” for Six months ago, he suddenly became the deciding vote and was rejected,” she said.
Finally, she spoke about perhaps the most high-profile topic for Johnson: Ukraine aid and borders.
“And then a week later he came back with foreign aid — a foreign war package, it’s not aid, it’s foreign war — over $100 billion in war funding around the world. $26 billion for Ukraine, $26 billion for Israel, and He said the aid money to Israel sent to Hamas and Gaza contained $9 billion in poison pills. “He calls it aid to Gaza, but everyone knows that Hamas is the government of Gaza. So it goes directly to Hamas.”
She also said, “There’s $3.5 billion there that Joe Biden is trying to use to bring so-called refugees into America from Gaza and from Hamas, and Joe Biden wants to make them citizens.” “I’m sure it’s so they can vote.” Him in November.
“I mean, the list goes on.”
Greene targeted the looming funding deadline as a major opportunity for Democrats to press Johnson for more concessions.
“This is where people need to realize that it can go even further,” she said. “And September 30th is another deadline for government funding, which means that that big two-part omnibus that everyone just saw came to fruition late. The deadline is September 30th, so we’ll have to do it again. What will Mike Johnson give away this time?
Despite having just received tens of billions in American tax money, Ukraine will soon ask for more money, and the only person who can stand in its way is Johnson.
“They said that by the end of the summer, the $61 billion that Americans just cut checks to Ukraine will be unspent,” she said. “We don’t know where it went. We know that Ukraine has one of the most corrupt governments on the planet, so we don’t know what house, yacht, car or We don’t know where that money is going to be kept and hidden. So they’re going to come back and say, “Mike Johnson, we need another check for Ukraine.” It’s the end of summer.
“Therefore, more damage could occur, which is very dangerous.”

Mr Green had harsh words for colleagues who want Mr Johnson out but insist now is not the time to step down.
“It doesn’t matter, ‘Oh, Marjorie, it’s November and six months until the election.’ We agree with you about Mike Johnson, so can you please wait a minute? Please wait until then. ‘No, absolutely not. We have a job to do now,’ she continued. “And our job is to fight for the Republican agenda and the America First agenda that voters gave us in 2022. Our job is to fight for the Republican agenda and the America First agenda that voters gave us in 2022. It’s not about whining or complaining, ‘Oh, it’s too tough for us to go through.’ And I’m not going to join in on that. You can not.”
She spoke about the difficult realities faced by millions of Americans due to the Democratic policies that Mr. Johnson continued to promote. “Matt, most of the people I know are ordinary Americans. And ordinary Americans are scraping together money to buy gas and bills. The food costs they have to pay right now are exorbitant. People have maxed out their credit cards to pay rent. Young people today have no hope of owning a home. That means all the stupid, pathetic, weak Republicans in Washington. It’s ridiculous what ordinary Americans are going through while complaining, “Oh, it’s too hard to hold our own chair accountable and actually hold our chair accountable.” . Maybe that could cause a fog in the mirror because they can actually breathe and actually fight back against Democrats. I’m already done with it. ”
Next week, Ms. Greene will give Americans an opportunity to find out exactly where their country’s representatives stand, and who will join her in taking steps to actually solve the problems facing Americans and counter the Unionist Party. It will provide an opportunity to find out what will happen.
“Next week’s vote, Matt, will give everyone a complete list. It will give everyone a complete list of Democrats and Republicans. The people who came together to save Mike Johnson, that’s what there is. Your party in.”
