authorities have recovered A bloody medieval-style spear was found at the scene of an apparent suicide in Santa Ana, California.
Police are investigating the deaths of a young woman and an elderly man whose bodies were discovered Thursday afternoon at a storage facility in the city about 55 miles south of Los Angeles.
A third man was found alive at the scene but later died.
Santa Ana police said a woman reported her boyfriend had stabbed her and her uncle just before 4:30 p.m.
Police said they arrived and found a woman and “two adult males with apparent gunshot wounds to the upper body.”
One of the men was still alive and was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital, where he died.
“Homicide detectives are currently investigating this incident and, although in its early stages, believe this may be a possible murder-suicide,” the statement said.
It is unclear whether or how a spear was used in the killing.
The names of the three men have not been released and the motive is unknown.
