Nuggets’ Jamal Murray Hit With $100,000 Fine From NBA After Throwing Towel, Heating Pad At A Referee

He was just lucky he wasn’t suspended.

jamal murrayThe Denver Nuggets guard was fined $100,000 by the NBA for throwing both a towel and a hand warmer at a referee. However, he was spared a suspension. The incident occurred Monday night during a Nuggets game. 106-80 Lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 2.

With 4:41 left in the second quarter and Minnesota holding a 49-30 advantage, Murray threw an object onto the court on a play. Kentavious Caldwell Popeanother Denver guard scooped up his pad and threw it toward the sideline, and play continued without an official stop.

Mark Davis, the crew chief for the game, said he was not aware when Murray threw the object, but if he had been, it would have been considered via triggering hostilities. Davis also said Murray would have been brought down with a technical foul instead of being ejected.

It’s funny because Jamal Murray came into this series being super cocky…

Now he’s acting like a 3 year old here…LOL.
