what. game.

On Tuesday night, the Rangers defeated the Hurricanes in a 4-3 thriller in double overtime.

The Blueshirts hold a commanding lead in the series, 2-0, heading into Games 3 and 4 against Raleigh.

The first two games were both close, and the series is far from over.

To react to this great win and look forward to the next game, we bring you a new episode of the Up in the Blue Seats podcast with Brian Boyle, Molly Walker and Larry Brooks.

“Up in the Blue Seat” Podcast with Brian Boyle, Molly Walker, and Larry Brooks:

  • Double OT win: The Rangers are 6-0 in the playoffs. They stick with it and find a way to win. What a classic game.
  • Toro Check: He is an essential player for this Rangers team. One of the big free agent signings that worked out incredibly well for the Rangers.
  • Igor: He remained in the game with a historic performance of 54 saves.
  • Up 2-0: The Rangers defended their home ice, but the series wasn’t over yet. It would be great to have at least a chance to score one point against Carolina and get a shutout at home.
  • “Underdog”: Molly hates people calling the Rangers “underdogs” and believes they deserve far more respect than some people give them.
