Rudy Giuliani blasts WABC for firing over election talk

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani accused WABC Radio of having a hostile work environment while using his daily routine to appease President Biden, a “trailer piece of trash.” He claimed that he was forced to leave the show.

The once-beloved “America’s Mayor” called out the station owner as a hypocrite for promoting his right to free speech while blocking Mr. Giuliani from “telling the truth” about the “stolen” 2020 presidential election. He blamed John Catsimatidis.

“What John Catsimatidis has done is disgraceful. He’s created a hole in the First Amendment that’s so big you can’t even find it, under the pretense that he’s building some sort of First Amendment.” You can’t tell someone not to talk about the 2020 presidential election and say they respect free speech,” Giuliani said in his speech. “Isn’t that the test? All the good people are the ones who want to talk, and the bad people are the ones who want to stop people from speaking. No one can really learn about it…and if they get elected again… Isn’t it a hell of a time to stop what I’ve been doing for three and a half years when I might be preparing to steal something?”

Hours earlier, he was removed from the network’s “Rudy Giuliani Show” for violating a company-wide policy that “does not state, suggest or imply that the election results are invalid.”

Billionaire supermarket mogul and station owner Catsimatidis told the Post on Friday that Giuliani had given him a written warning the day before to avoid talk of a stolen election, a disproven conspiracy. Told.

Instead of complying, the disgraced former mayor reportedly announced that he would ignore the order.

“He did it to himself,” said Mr. Catsimatidis, who runs Red Apple Media.

But Giuliani said he was never informed of the policy.

Even more confusing, he claimed that the main focus of his show, which he has hosted since 2021, was the “stolen” 2020 election.

“I think people listening to me on WABC and on this show would find it very strange to believe that there was such a policy,” Giuliani said.

“If I wasn’t talking about the 2020 presidential election, I wouldn’t have been on the air for the last five years. You’re watching me. We talked about it every day and every night. It’s an important part of my show. It’s a part.

“If it were such a policy, you would have to be crazy to continue it. Or you would have to say this policy is pointless.”

Mr. Giuliani accused Mr. Catsimatidis of firing him to get along with Democrats, and claimed that Democrats were preparing to steal the presidential election again.

“The Democratic thing has to do with that. And the fact that the Biden clique is now focused in earnest on interfering in the 2024 election. And let’s not forget we can go back to the beginning. “The first thing Biden did as a candidate was write a letter to the networks to cut me out,” Giuliani claimed.

“He started out as a trailer-type asshole, kind of hanging out with his shitty little brothers. And now he’s a world-class thief. Somehow, weirdly, he’s the president of the United States.”

The former mayor said WABC also fired co-host Dr. Maria Ryan, who encouraged her to sue the station over poor working conditions.

Giuliani did not go into details, but said that “as a woman, I was treated horribly,” suggesting that treatment extended to all women in the workplace.

The canning case cost Donald Trump’s former lawyer $15,000 a month in salary and is the latest in a series of financial blowbacks.

He faces a mountain of proposed legislation to fight criminal charges in Arizona and Georgia where he is accused of trying to overturn the 2020 election, as well as voting machine companies Dominion and Smartmatic; He also faces multiple civil lawsuits, including one brought by a former colleague who made the accusations. He sexually assaulted him.

It is also impossible for him to work as a lawyer himself. Giuliani, who is also a former federal prosecutor, had his law license suspended in New York City in 2021.

The commission said last year that he could be disbarred for his “complete disregard for the facts” and “contempt for the legal profession.”
